Deirdre began Irish dancing when she was 4 years old. She started in Toronto at the Gregoire School of Irish Dance (An Coimisiun) where she danced for 15 years before moving to Dublin, Ireland to continue her training at the Cadwell-Cawte School (An Coimisiun). Throughout her competitive career, Deirdre achieved Top 5 placements in the All- Scotland, All-Ireland, Great Britain, European, North American and World Championships.

After retiring from competition, she began dancing professionally and travelled throughout North America, Europe and Asia extensively. Her career on stage culminated with achieving her dream of being the principle dancer in ‘Riverdance’. She toured with ‘Riverdance’ from 2007-2010 before deciding to move back to Canada.

Deirdre has taught Irish Dance workshops in Holland, Germany, Hungary and Ukraine. She is also a certified STOTT Pilates instructor and has been teaching Pilates since 2011. She loves to incorporate her experience and knowledge of Pilates to help herself and others improve as dancers.
