Catherine Adams (CDMA, B.A)

Catherine grew up in London, Ontario and has been dancing since she was in grade two.  She trained at Dance Extreme where she was a competitive dancer for six years.  While attending high school at London South Collegiate Institute, Catherine was highly involved in the dance program.  She was a member of the South Dance Company, working with professional choreographers from across the province.  Catherine also had the opportunity to dance alongside CCDT, a professional children’s company in their show Wintersong and at Dance Ontario’s Dance Weekend.

Catherine has been teaching recreational and competitive dance for the past five years.  Though she is trained in many styles, she specializes in jazz, lyrical and contemporary as well as pre-school dance.  In 2015 she became certified through Dance Masters of America to teach Jazz & Ballet. Catherine recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  She currently lives and works in Toronto.

Catherine loves sharing her knowledge, passion and choreography with her students and is excited to be joining the faculty at York Dance Academy!
