Auditions For
York Dance Academy’s Dance Team 2008/2009 Tuesday, June 24th in Stouffville at 10 Commercial St. OR Wednesday, June 25th in Aurora at 305 Industrial Pkwy S
Are you interested in performing before live audiences? Are you serious about your dance? Do you want to learn unique and exciting choreography and perform before live audiences? Then you should try out for the York Dance Company.
The York Dance Company is open to all dancers from the age of 6 and up. Dancers must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 hours of technique classes per week plus ½ hour of choreography per routine. You must be available to perform at local community & promotional events and dance competitions throughout the school year.
Dancers attending the audition should dress in proper dance attire with their hair tied back. (Black body suit, pink tights, jazz or ballet shoes) Footwear is not required for the acro audition. Audition Fee is $10.00 per dancer
All dancers must audition for both ballet & jazz/hip hop and they must arrive 15 minutes before the time of each discipline to obtain a number. Only those interested in performing in either tap or acro are required to attend those auditions.
Dancers who are accepted into the Company must attend one of the Dance Intensive Camps in the summer in Newmarket, Aurora or Stouffville.
Schedule for the audition is as follows: 5 & 6 Yr olds 4:30-5:30 PM Ballet 5:30 PM Jazz/Hip Hop 6:30 PM Acro 7:30 PM Tap 8:30 PM
