ACTING & IMPROV

FREE INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP

Sunday, September 23rd

At our “new” location: 255 Industrial Pkwy S

(formerly Pipsqueeks Playground)

Improvisation: Improv exercises are all taken from Second City but altered slightly so they are more appropriate for younger students. Improv will help students learn how to think quickly on their feet. Once they discover the creativity they have within, their self esteem, self awareness and character really comes out.

Acting: Getting in touch with our emotions not only helps us to express ourselves in our lives, but it is also the foundation needed to be a good actor. This class is for students who want to pursue acting and also for those who just want to have fun. They will learn all about the audition process by doing mock auditions using real commercial, film and television scripts. Each student will be involved in group activities and everyone will also get one on one attention when learning how to perform monologues & scenes. Monologue work is very helpful for learning how to memorize, and investigate how a character is feeling and why.

Workshop is taught by Lori Pearlstein,

Lori Pearlstein has been performing for over 20 years. She was recently featured on Star TV, has appeared in several plays, films, television shows, commercials and was a regular at Yuk Yuk's comedy club.
